Botswana cricket coach, Joseph Angara feels his side’s batting let the team down as they fell just short of promotion to the World Cricket League Division 5, after qualifiers held in Benoni, South Africa recently.

Angara senses the side had enough arsenal to progress to Division 5, but the batting department failed to come to the party.

Ghana, who finished unbeaten in all the five assignments, cruised through as Botswana finished second, and therefore missed out on promotion. “It is unfortunate we didn’t qualify. Finishing second was not enough,” Angara said.
