Magosi came into the game having opened a six point-gap at the summit of the league table and looking to increase the lead. Orapa United, on the other hand, were on a mission to reduce the gap and increase their chances of winning their first ever Premier League title. Both teams were looking for an early goal and Hendrick Moyo took a long range shot, but found Magosi keeper Mompoloki Sephekolo well positioned.
