Chiefs, GU step up preparations

National champions, Mochudi Centre Chiefs and Gaborone United (GU) have taken advantage of the be MOBILE Premier League break to focus on preparing for the Confederations of African Football (CAF) assignments.

Both sides have looked to none other than neighbouring South Africa for preparatory matches with the local league currently on a break. Chiefs will be taking on Maxaquene of Mozambique in the CAF Champions League while GU also engage Mozambican side, Liga Muculmana in the CAF Confederations Cup. Chiefs have already played matches against Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs as well as Supersport United.

They lost both matches. They kicked off the tour against Kaizer Chiefs on Tuesday where they received a 4-0 thrashing from the current ABSA Premiership log leaders.
