Mochudi Centre Chiefs were left seething after the Botswana Premier League prosecutors demanded the club to show cause why it should not be slapped with a misconduct charge following the cancelled play-off against Township Rollers last week.

BPL prosecutors have written to Chiefs asking the club to show cause why they should not be charged after their midfielder, Arnold Mampori’s injury forced the cancellation of the game last Saturday in Francistown.

Chiefs had fielded only seven players after alerting the BPL and the Botswana Football Association (BFA) that they only had seven fit players for the play-off.
