Cheetahs cry foul after Rhinos' humiliation

Cheetahs' coach, Jerry Mooketsi has blamed the organisers of the North against South rugby tournament for the humiliating 21-0 loss his side suffered at the hands of University of Botswana (UB) Rhinos at the Wharic Park on Saturday.

Cheetahs' tormentor-in-chief during the match was Botswana international Tshoganetso 'Shakes' Katse who scored all the Rhinos' goals. Mooketsi left the field complaining and attributed the heavy loss to the last minute unavailability of his national team players. He said his side was told late by the organisers that the internationals are not allowed to participate in the tournament. Mooketsi said this was not good for him because his game plan revolved around the absent players.

He said he was forced to change his game plan at the last minute and use B Division players, only to find out that Rhinos fielded internationals. "This is what resulted in us losing heavily," he explained. Mooketsi said they will not rest till they get an explanation from the tournament organisers though he accepted that his players were below par on the day.
