BDF Cheetahs proved that they are the powerhouse of Super rugby league when they bounced back to beat Gaborone Hogs 22-18 in a tightly-contested match played at Wharic Park over the weekend. Cheetahs used their power to score the much needed goal through a scrum in the dying minutes of the game after a foul.

The match was an opener of the second round of the league. Cheetahs took the lead through a brilliant penalty kick by Edward Oosthuizen in the 10th minute.

The fly half is a former Hogs player and he joined Cheetahs at the beginning of the season. Hogs quickly equalised a few minutes later through a nice kick taken by pint-sized full back, Omphile Kebobate. Cheetahs went on attack only to lose concentration at a crucial moment.
