Capital Motors volleyball tourney starts

The first leg of the men's BMW Capital Motors volleyball tournament starts in Francistown tomorrow with some interesting fixtures on the cards. The teams have been divided into four groups, with defending champions, BDF VI in Pool A.

The top two teams will advance to the quarterfinals in a fortnight. BDF VI are expected to sail through in the group that includes lightweights, Tanian, Spartans and Difofane.

In Pool B, last year's runners-up Kutlwano are favoured to make it to the quarterfinals. They face Spiking Stars, Kalavango and Itekeng. Mafolofolo, Magstimela, Chobe and Victory Seekers will do battle in Pool C, while Diphatsa, Prisons, Desert Kings and Police make up Pool D. BDF VI, Spartans, Kutlwano, Kalavango, Mafolofolo, Itekeng, Diphatsa and Police start as favourites to make it to the quarterfinals. BDF VI coach, Selebatso Mabutho said although his side has been hit by injuries, they are well prepared for the tournament.
