FRANCISTOWN: ECCO City Greens have confirmed that South African First Division side, Cape Town Santos are after their talismanic midfielder, Tendai Nyumasi. Speculation has been mounting in recent days that Nyumasi will join the South African side next season.

Yesterday, ECCO vice chairman, Mothibedi Latlhang said senior Santos officials are expected to arrive in Francsitown next week to negotiate the release of the player.

“Nyumasi was actually recommended by David Bright who is a keen admirer of the player. As far as I know, the player will not be attending trials. He will be signed outright if terms are agreed,” he said. Bright, a former Santos’ coach has been given an advisory role in the Santos technical team. “We have an agreement with Glamour Sports to negotiate various deals on our behalf so they will be handling the deal and negotiating a package for us with regards to the sale of Tendai,” Latlhang said.
