The Botswana Premier League (BPL) has resolved to tighten its systems to block the sale of fake match tickets.

During the recent BPL general assembly held in Palapye, clubs agreed that there is need to be vigilant and to avoid the sale of fake tickets which deprive clubs of revenue from the gate-takings.

Township Rollers' vice chairperson, Dumi Mmualefhe, set the ball rolling when he said the club was losing a lot of money through fake ticket sales. Miscellaneous' chairperson, Steady Sethaba said he was shocked to learn that the club had made only P60, 000 in their game against Township Rollers last month.
