BPL reconvenes aborted special assembly

The Botswana Premier League (BPL) will hold its special assembly, which was aborted last December due to a lack of quorum. The meeting takes place in Palapye, the initial venue, on Saturday.

BPL chief executive officer Bennett Mamelodi said the meeting would go ahead this time around as the rules specified that it could proceed even with the absence of sufficient numbers.

The meeting was postponed last December due to failure to form a quorum. Top of the agenda will be the audited 2012 financial statements and the contentious broadcasting rights.
