Botswana went down to Ghana on Monday, but were expected to win against Sierra Leone yesterday

Botswana suffered a damaging eight wicket defeat to Ghana in the on going ICC World Cricket League-Africa qualifiers in Benoni, South Africa.

Unbeaten in two matches before the crashing Monday defeat, Botswana had appeared on course for promotion to the World Cricket League Championship.

However, Ghana had other ideas after inserting Botswana to bat on what is traditionally a slow, bowler friendly, Sahara Park Willowmoore pitch.
