Boteti Confident of promotion

FRANCISTOWN: Boteti Young Fighters' head coach Kenneth Mogae is confident that come next season, his charges would taste Premier League soccer for the first time despite the intense competition in Med Rescue First Division North League

Boteti have dominated the 12-team league and now lead the pack with 32 points from 17 games. Although they have dropped two valuable points against title rivals Great North Tigers (GNT) in a 1-1 draw at the weekend, this did not shake Mogae. He remains convinced that the Orapa side would gain promotion to the Premier League.

"The team is fine. We are getting there and I am happy with my boys' performance," said an impressed Mogae. He pointed out that if his boys keep the same momentum and spirit, then they will realise their Premier League ambitions. But he expressed worry that his job as assistant coach of the national Under-23 side is keeping him away from the club. When Mogae is not available, Zimbabwean Patrick Malango takes charge at Boteti.
