BOKA intends to send six karatekas - one of them female - for the event, which begin on October 28. The team will be accompanied by a manager, a coach and two referees. Until recently, BOKA was undecided on sending a team to Serbia due to financial constraints.

BOKA spokesperson, Jerry Ditlhong said they were waiting to hear from the Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) regarding funding.
