BNSC violates Act over AGM

The Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) has admitted it violated its own Act by failing to convene last year’s annual general meeting (AGM).

The BNSC chairperson, Marumo Morule said failure to hold the meeting was a blunder. The Commission was scheduled to hold its AGM yesterday (Thursday), but was forced to shelve the meeting due to the coronavirus outbreak. A new date has not been set.

“Yes, I admit that failure to convene an AGM is a challenge. I acknowledge that. We have been busy preparing for the AGM but unfortunately it had to be called off,” he said.
