A war of words has erupted between Botswana Softball Association (BSA) president, Tirelo Mukokomani and the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) with the bone of contention being the cancellation of a per-diem.

The per-diem was supposed to be paid to Mukokomani as head of delegation for the men’s senior national team that is competing at World Softball Championships in Canada.

The highly-charged Mukokomani told Mmegi Sport in an interview this week that the men’s programme was in decline due to lack of action. He said the last time the team participated in the World Championships was in 2009. He said the focus has been on women.
