The Botswana Football Association (BFA) is reportedly prepared to headhunt for a suitable chief executive officer (CEO) if none of the interviewed candidates fits the bill.

The BFA has outsourced the recruitment of the CEO to a local recruitment agency.

The search began with 23 applications, and the race is now down to five. Amongst the remaining candidates are former Multichoice Botswana general manager, Billy Sekgororoane, former Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) chairperson, Solly Reikeletseng, former Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC) head of corporate communications, Tiro Kganela, former assistant Minister of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development, Philip Makgalemele and banker Marang Morakaladi, who is also in the BFA ethics committee.
