BFA confirms Umbro deal

In a media statement, BFA chief executive officer, Duncan Kgame said the association has agreed a three-year deal that will see the United Kingdom based company dress national teams until 2015.
"The appointment of Umbro, the world's football tailoring brand, marks the culmination of a tender process undertaken in 2011 in response to which Umbro submitted a bid that, following adjudication, was judged as the best," reads the statement.
Whilst celebrating milestones in inclusivity, with notably P5 billion awarded to vulnerable groups, the report sounds a 'siren' on a dangerous and growing trend: the ballooning use of micro-procurement.
