BDF shoot down Police in opener

The victory proved that BDF's win against Police in the first round of the 2011 league was not a hoax. BDF remain the only team to have beaten the 2010 league runners-up this season.

It was however clear that both teams were determined to win in the games first quarter. Police, who had tormented BDF for more than five years, were determined to reassert their superiority. The first-quarter started at a hot pace with Police making the first attempts to score. Luck was however not on their side as their attempts hit a blank.
