Men’s softball log leaders, BDF IX will look to consolidate their position when the second round of the Botswana Fibre Network (BOFINet) League starts at the National Diamond tomorrow. The army side plays Police IX with competition stiffer this season due to the first prize money of P100,000. BDF IX lead the log with 12 points from seven matches with just one loss.

BDF IX coach, Tapologo Moremedi said it is difficult to gauge the team’s progress at the moment as they have not played since the festive season break.  Moremedi said preparations for the second round were hampered by the absence of some players who are out on army duty.

He expects to have a full squad by the end of the month. Moremedi said the target is to grab the title and changes would be made to the team in order to make it stronger.  “Our plan is to continue winning games.
