The Botswana Basketball Association (BBA) in conjunction with non-profit foundation, Giants of Africa have organised a training camp geared towards building a team for the 2024 Olympic games. The camp kicked off on Friday in Gaborone and ends today.

It features 50 players from all over Botswana aged between 15 and 18. The players have been selected from various parts of the country such as Kasane, Maun, Francistown, Palapye and Gaborone.

It also features six national coaches drilled by specialist basketball coaches. Speaking at a media briefing on Friday, Quess Capital LLC project director, Pallab Sarkar said by 2024, the country should be in a position to compete at the highest level in basketball. He said the camp would equip local players with international basketball techniques.
