BAYGOC seeks green-light for 16 year-old volunteers

Botswana Africa Youth Games Organising Committee (BAYGOC) has sought permission from the Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs to engage volunteers aged 16. BAYGOC said it wants to involve young people as much as possible in the games. The committee is waiting for a response for the ministry.

BAYGOC chief executive officer, Tuelo Serufho said there have been concerns that young people are not involved in the youth games to be hosted by Botswana from May 22-31 this year. 

Critics argue the games have not been properly marketed as young people had been left out in favour of the old.
