BAA defends top athletes� inclusion for regional meet

Botswana Athletics Association (BAA) public relations officer, Ipolokeng Ramatshaba has put his foot down regarding the participation of top local athletes at the Southern Region Senior Championship to be held in Zimbabwe next week Saturday.

Some critics felt the top athletes risk injuries and it was not necessary for them to make the Harare trip.

There is an overwhelming feeling that those who have qualified for the World Championships should have been excused for the regional competition.
