The athletes are the first of out-of-competition doping test subjects, who will give the committee its initial indications of the global sporting vice.Yesterday, BNOC chief executive officer (CEO), Tuelo Serufho, told journalists that the first doping tests would be done within the next few days following the training of six doping control officers (DCO) who started earlier this week in Gaborone.

While the names of selected athletes has not been released to the media, Serufho said the test subjects have been informed and are expected to provide certain information to facilitate the exercise. "However, they will not be informed of the time they would be tested," he said, explaining that this is a World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) requirement.
