Arma Brigade Retain Military Rugby Title

FRANCISTOWN: Favourites Arma Brigade retained the annual Inter-Formation Rugby Competition organised by the Botswana Defence Force (BDF) at Donga army camp on Friday.

The Gaborone-based soldiers thrashed Eleven Artillery Brigade 43-6 in a one-sided final for their third consecutive title. The tournament is meant to promote cooperation and good spirit among military units.

Arma Brigade's comprehensive triumph was no surprise because most of their players belong to one of the formidable sides in local rugby, Cheetahs. Majority of them form the BDF's Big XV team and play together at the national team.
