Honouring a Political Trailblazer: MultiChoice Namibia Unveils Documentary on Her Excellency Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah

In a landmark celebration of leadership, resilience, and national pride, MultiChoice premiered the documentary, ‘Netumbo: A Leader Beyond Politics’, chronicling the extraordinary journey of Her Excellency Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, the fifth and current President of the Republic of Namibia.

The premiere was attended by an esteemed gathering of Namibian and African dignitaries, as well as high-level diplomats, including His Excellency Advocate Duma Boko, President of the Republic of Botswana, and His Excellency Lieutenant General Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama, Former President of the Republic of Botswana, among other esteemed guests. “As a brand that is built on premium entertainment and creativity, this documentary is a testament to our commitment to truthful, dignified, and locally rooted storytelling, remarked David Mignot, Canal+ Africa CEO. “Netumbo: A Leader Beyond Politics will surely inspire generations to come and reflect an era where Namibian voices and visions deserve to be on the world stage.” ‘

Netumbo: A Leader Beyond Politics’ offers an intimate and inspiring look into Her Excellency’s life through decades of public service to her historic election as Namibia’s first woman Head of State in March 2025. Produced by local production company Joe Vision Productions, it also features heartfelt commentaries from Lieutenant-General (Rtd) Epaphras Denga Ndaitwah, close family members, friends and business leaders who offer incredible insight into the current president. “It is without a doubt that President Dr. Nandi-Ndaitwah’s legacy is that of a trailblazer in Namibian and African history, and MultiChoice Namibia is privileged to bring her unique and compelling story to life,” said Roger Gertze, MultiChoice Namibia Managing Director.
