Thandeka, Liema, Trixie, Didi, Bravo B and Que in the Finale Sunday night, 15 March, marked the announcement of the official Big Brother Mzansi S6 Bazozwa Top 6 after Ashay and Mmeli became the last housemates to be evicted.

Week 9 has been one of the most intense weeks of Big Brother Mzansi S6 Bazozwa, not only because of the finale peeping around the corner, but it has been one of ‘Do or Die’ as the Top 8 tried to prove why they are worthy of the R2mil grand prize. Sunday Night Live Eviction Show With three housemates – Thandeka, Trixie and Liema having already secured their spot in next week’s finale, penultimate Sunday Night Eviction show opened with host Smash Afrika highlighting the intensity that was Week 9. He congratulated Ashay for a record-breaking three back-to-back wins for the Head of House (HoH). However, this time around the crown did not come with immunity to which Ashay said “it’s part of the game”, and sadly, this marked the end of the Bazozwa journey for him “...so close to the final!” exclaimed Smash. Smash asked how he feels for making it this far, Ashay said that “as an underdog, I feel proud”. Click here for Ashay’s Bazozwa journey. Smash went on to ask the housemates still in the house about how they feel about being fast-tracked to the finale and if there were any changes.

Trixie said they were “cool about it”. On the other hand, Thandeka said a mouthful...aiming at Liema and how she had changed and become more mellow, however reiterated that she is still ‘pissed’ at how she was generally treated by some in the house. After reviewing what Mzansi streets had to say about the remaining housemates and who this week’s evictees would be, Smash announced Mmeli as the next housemates to lose out on the grand prize...officially leaving his ‘ship partner’ Thandeka. On the stage when Smash commented on his dress code saying, “all black...kumnyama”. Mmeli was quick to say that his eviction is not a dark moment at all because he had expected to last only about four ‘weeks-nyana’ but was super proud that he made it to Week 9. Penultimate Week Personal Reflections With the grand finale only a week away, the mood in the Bazozwa house shifted from pure chaos and banter to deep reflection as the Top 8 started thinking about how they would like to be remembered by Mzansi. Speaking honestly during their diary sessions, the Bazozwa housemates opened up about their different personalities and how these set them apart during this journey.
