Calling on Pius XII, UBBS and UBLS Alumni Reunion :: Mmegi Online

This notice serves to invite all local alumni of Pius XII, University of Basutoland, Bechuanaland and Swaziland and the University of Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland to a meeting on January 21, 2009 at 5:30pm at the UB Staff Lounge.

The purpose of the meeting is to share information on the 3rd Alumni Reunion scheduled for the Easter weekend April 9 to 13, 2009 in Gaborone. (The first and second reunions took place in Cape Town and Lesotho in 2007 and 2008 respectively).

The Reunion includes all Pius XII, UBBS and UBLS alumni irrespective of their periods of study. It also includes alumni who came to Roma from South Africa, Zimbabwe and other countries. The reunions are an informal arrangement, organised by former alumni. There is yet no institutional backing for this effort. It is simply a gathering of individuals who want to travel down memory lane and revive and preserve the academic, emotional and cultural ties that were built so many years ago at Roma, which many of us still hold on to very fondly. Who would forget City Mafefs and Mzala's?
