WUC warns of water shortage

The North South Carrier Scheme pipeline will be out of operation from August 7 2014 to August 30 2014. This is due to some work, which will be in progress upstream of Palapye.

A statement from the Water Utilities Corporation (WUC) says the North South Carrier Scheme I (NSCI) is a pipeline that transports water from Letsibogo dam to the south of the country and supplies Palapye, Mahalapye, Serowe and the greater Gaborone area.

During the shutdown period water users in the areas supplied by the NSCI may experience low pressure to no water supply without prior warning.
