Israel Apartheid week

The Botswana National Front (BNF) will be joining the rest of the Progressive Community in marking the Israel Apartheid Week (IAW), scheduled for the 10th to the 16th March. During this week word is spread on the atrocities that the Palestinians are facing under the Apartheid Israeli Government. The Palestinians have not only been losing their land but there has been an erosion of their dignity and human rights.

During this week, the BNF will be hosting a number of events in raising awareness on the unfortunate situation that the Palistinians have to contend with on a daily basis. As a party that believes in the concept of international solidarity, we take the struggle of the people of Palestine to be as good as ours.

In January 2013, the United Nations Human Rights Council, an official structure of the UN, found that there is  "institutionalised discrimination" by Israel and its settlements toward the indigenous Palestinians living in the West Bank.
