Bravo.As Adhocracy Takes Precedence

Education is not necessarily the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think so said Albert Einstein. Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything they learned in school. Not only do I agree with this connotation, I also feel that its relevance to our education system today cannot be overemphasised.

Being educated is the ability to manipulate the gained knowledge and information to cause the necessary adaptation to cope with prevailing situations and conditions.

There was a point in time when education was measured by the amount of information that one could recall. In 1977 the Government instituted the National Commission on Education Volume 2: Education for Kagisano. It was brought in/ incepted as a unifying tool that was to enhance harmony. It brought Batswana under one roof as an independent entity. That system was so important in a sense that it sealed by then, cultural disparities in Botswana thus establishing a common purpose.
