Applause to the men and women of the teaching profession

Friday the 5th of June 2015 marks the annual teachers’ day commemoration. On this day, teachers throughout the country will converge and commemorate their professional existence under the theme “Teacher; a Change Agent for Global Competitive Human Resource and Economic Diversification”. It is on this occasion that some teachers will receive their professional recognition and honorary medals for their varied contributions to the field of education.

We pause and salute not only those who will be honoured but all the teachers who have gone beyond their normal call of duty to ensure that Botswana continues to be a shining example with regard to sustainable economic growth.

Teaching as the mother of all professions remains instrumental in developing and moulding human capital and manpower resource across all sectors of the economy.
