Gaborone International School (GIS) officially launched its new brand identity and logo during the 'Journey of Excellence Showcase' held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at its Block 8 campus in Gaborone.

This marked a significant institutional rebranding aligned with its long-term academic vision and continental footprint. The event brought together parents, staff, learners, and education stakeholders, serving as both a symbolic and strategic reset for the school as it positions itself for the future of education.

GIS Executive Head, Hannelie Raubenheimer, said the rebranding reflects both growth and alignment with a broader network of schools across Africa. “I am also proud to share with you this morning that we have grown in numbers, and we are standing at 3,010 students that we have daily. Three thousand and ten students, parents who entrust their child’s education to us daily,” she said.
