FRANCISTOWN: A woman from Ngwapa settlement near Sefhare in the Central District appeared in court yesterday for allegedly killing her lover in October 2012. The state alleges that Kedibonye Mpule killed Tsirimane Kebatlhokile over a money dispute in Ngwapa.

Under examination by prosecutor, Lindani Baiketlile, the first prosecution witness, Baitami Mmolotsi, who is also the accused’s mother, told the court that on that fateful day, she was at her place washing laundry outside her hut before the accused and the deceased arrived.

Mmolotsi said Kebatlhokile then started demanding money from Mpule but Mpule refused saying that she was not going to give him the money since it was her transport fare to go back to work.
