Unions lambast govt for intolerance

Labour movements tore government apart yesterday for lack of tolerance and deeming trade unionism as an act short of patriotism.

The joint presentation from the Botswana Teachers Union (BTU) and the Botswana Sectors of Educators Trade Union (BOSETU) lambasted government for failing to see unions as partners in democracy.

The BTU secretary general, Ibo Kenosi said they stand for social justice and the welfare of the masses.
