The Minister of Labour and Home Affairs, Edwin Batshu is worried by the status of compliance for submission of annual returns by registered trade unions and federations.

Batshu told Parliament last week of the 64 registered trade unions, only 25 have complied and of the two federations of trade unions, one has not.  The only employers’ organisation has submitted annual returns.

He was responding to a question from the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ngwaketse West, Mephato Reatile on the status of compliance in submitting annual returns.
