UDC, BCP meet Monday for unity talks

FRANCISTOWN: A new date for the start of coalition talks between the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) and the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) will be decided next Monday.

Mmegi has learnt that the talks were anticipated to have started this month but had to be halted to allow opposition parties to prepare for the Phillip Mantante East by-election.

The by-election was held over the weekend and was won by the UDC’s Uyapo Nyeku.
