Two Drown As Speedboat Capsizes

A lovely eye-catching moment of boat cruising in Chobe River ended with a speedboat capsizing and two people drowning.

According to an eyewitness, the operator of the boat, which was believed to have been carrying 12 people allegedly did everything wrong to land him in hot water.

“There were so many boats of different sizes in the water and the one that capsized was grabbing a lot of attention in the waters as the operator pulled some stunts, which we were advised were dangerous. He was speeding though there were many boats in the water. He revved it causing giant splashes as his passengers and those in other boats cheered on. Unfortunately, it ended up capsizing,” the eyewitness alleged. The witness alleged that just as some boats were headed to the port around 6pm, they were met by speeding boats of Police Officers and soldiers. It soon turned out that the famous boat had capsized and the officers were on a rescue mission.
