Two people, both passengers have lost their lives in an accident that occurred along the A12 Road at Khunou Ward in Molepolole near Supa Save and Choppies early Saturday morning.

Divisional Traffic Officer for Southern division, Assistant Commissioner Boiki Mojalemotho said the single-vehicle accident occurred at around 3am. He explained the crash happened after a 24-year-old Molepolole man lost control of the Toyota Corolla he was driving and slammed into a tree. "The vehicle that was driving from east to west of the village along Gaborone–Molepolole road had three people on board, the two deceased passengers and the driver who escaped the accident uninjured.

"Both passengers were seated at the back, one of them, a 25-year-old man of Molepolole had sustained head and abdominal injuries and he was certified dead on arrival at Scottish Livingstone Hospital," he said. Mojalemotho further stated that another passenger, yet to be identified, who was hospitalised following the accident after sustaining fractured jaws and chin succumbed to the injuries on Sunday at around 6:50am.
