The Member of Parliament (MP) for Boteti North Slumber Tsogwane has asked Parliament to request government to extend a short-term livestock feed loan to farmers as a matter of urgency.

In a motion without notice on Friday, Tsogwane also asked the House to request government to allow the use of idle quarantine camps by local communities to graze their cattle. He said due to the drought the country has experienced over the last two years, the livestock sector, which is the cornerstone of the livelihoods of many Batswana, has been severely affected.
