Three men could face a murder charge after allegedly beating a 21-year-old man from Marulamantsi Ward in Serowe to death following suspicion he had stolen and slaughtered a goat.

Confirming the incident, Serowe Police Station commander, Superintendent Poloko Oteng, said the matter was reported by a 58-year-old man of Dinokwane Ward, owner of the missing goat.

Oteng explained that on the day of the incident, the complainant arrived at his cattle post in Mangolwana Lands, on the outskirts of Serowe, and discovered that one of his goats was missing. Upon inspecting the kraal, he noticed drag marks suggesting that the animal had been pulled out.
