Transport hub heralds growth for Francistown

FRANCISTOWN: Plans are underway for government to establish a transport and logistics hub in Francistown this financial year, the mayor, Sylvia Muzila has said. Muzila told Mmegi that the transportation hub would be established under the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) initiative.

The Ministry of Lands and Housing gave the Francistown City Council 505 hectares for transport and logistics at Gerald Estate.

“The hub will be located at the Francistown-Orapa junction and the land is currently undeveloped with no infrastructure in the proximity,” she said.
