FRANCISTOWN: A two-year-old toddler from Tonota village has drowned in a swimming pool whilst his mother was preparing breakfast.

Tonota Station commander, Superintendent Oteng Ngada, they are investigating a drowning incident that occurred on Saturday morning in Tonota West. He said that the two-year-old boy sneaked out of the house whilst his 38-year-old mother was preparing breakfast.

He indicated that the boy was found by the mother who jumped into the pool and retrieved the lifeless body.
