Four men suspected of stealing hundreds of thousands of Pula worth of cash and goods from former minister Charles Tibone’s home in an armed robbery, were yesterday denied bail pending completion of investigations.

Police nabbed six men for the May 4 armed robbery at Tibone’s Phakalane home, during which they allegedly tied up Tibone and his wife, and used violence.

At the Broadhurst Magistrate Court yesterday, prosecutors dropped charges against two men, while bail was denied for the other four. Police are on the hunt for two other suspects currently at large. Broadhurst Chief Magistrate Faith Ngandu granted the prosecution’s request for an extension of remand, noting that the suspects had been uncooperative with investigations.
