Three people have perished following a horrific road accident involving a public transport bus and an Audi A3 vehicle near Leshibitse junction along the A1 Highway on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Botswana Police Service (BPS), the accident occurred when a Gaborone–Serowe-bound bus carrying 65 passengers collided head-on with the Audi A3 vehicle.

Both vehicles caught fire after the impact and were completely burnt. BPS spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Near Bagali, said the tragedy claimed the lives of the Audi driver and two passengers from the bus.
