Three BCP councillors lose Ramotswa primary election

Three Botswana Congress Party (BCP) councillors of the South East District Council (SEDC) have lost the party’s primary elections that were held over the weekend in Ramotswa constituency.

The three who lost are Kgabo Mabotseng of Magopane ward, Kalaote Lemogang of Mothubakwane ward and Seitei Lawrence of Kgosing ward. 

In Magopane ward, Mabotseng received 181 votes while Ben Rantuana beat him with a solid 460.  Mothubakwane ward’s Mogotsi Tirelo got 171 votes after challenging Lemogang, but he too was beat at the polls by Joseph Mosomane with 228 votes.
