Kgosi Kgafela Kgafela II has told an audience of agitated students from local secondary schools that "you are on your own" and that the "worst is still to come."

This was after the students arrived at his Kgotla unannounced on Friday following the sudden closure of Molefi Senior Secondary School earlier in the day.

Events had started at Molefi when students demanded answers to what they described as the halt in the education system occasioned by the ongoing civil service strike.  Presenting a unanimous front at a meeting addressed by a deputy permanent secretary at the Ministry of Education (MoE) last Friday, Molefi students were in such a militant mood that the school was subsequently ordered closed.
