This week President Ian Khama delivered suspension letters to Barata-Phathi stalwarts Botsalo Ntuane, Sidney Pilane and Kabo Morwaeng. The letter itself is nothing remarkable. Three paragraphs long, BDP letter-head at the top and Khama's signature with its almost hurried, careless and carefree style.
However the trio and the nation had been waiting for this piece of communication, since the contents of the letter would inevitably give a preview into what the core cause of the latest tussle between Khama and the politicians really is. It would be a peep into how Khama perceives the crime of the three. And Khama is quite clear what the trio have done - "sponsoring and/or taking part in seditious activities aimed at sabotaging the party and overall considered detrimental to the interests of the party".
