FRANCISTOWN: Farmers in the north eastern part of the country have experienced a delay in the start of their cropping season due to implementation of Temo Letlotlo programme.

The government’s new arable farming programme, which replaced the Integrated Support Programme for Arable Agriculture Development (ISPAAD), was set to begin in the 2023-2024 cropping season.

The chairperson of the Tonota, Tutume, and Masunga (TOTUMA) Commercial Farmer’s Association, Steven Pillar, said most of their members were unable to enjoy the early December rains as a result of the programme implementation delays.
