Tawana condemns opposition's empty promises

MAUN: Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) parliamentary candidate for Maun West, Tawana Moremi has condemned opposition parties for hoodwinking the people with empty promises. He said there is no alternative to the ruling party because BDP has taken care of the needs and welfare of the people for a long time.

Speaking at a political rally on Saturday at Botshabelo Ward in Maun West, he said global recession has forced the government to cut expenditure and to suspend projects.

However, he was quick to say the government has already found means of stabilising the economy.
