Target was my wife not my son, pleads murder accused

FRANCISTOWN: A man accused of murder has pleaded guilty to the murder of his wife but denies that the assault against his little boy was deliberate.

Othusitse Gaelebale is alleged to have stabbed his wife, Lillian Sedumago 15 times in 2003, after suspecting there was another man in her life. The State is alleging that after the mother fainted the accused then turned the knife on their son, whom she was carrying on her back. 

He is alleged to have stabbed the child twice before his brother, then seven years of age rescued him. The brother is now 14years old. Sedumago was the mother of six children.
